Well I just got one new experience: being a third person!

and yeah, it teaches me so much.

first lesson: never be a third person.
second lesson: there’s no lesson in being a third person, except (see first lesson).

Am I okay?

It’s unbelievably extraordinary.

And that description isn’t anywhere close to what I’m feeling,

It’s like, uh-oh, I’m feeling way to hyper that my heart could explode at anytime soon!

anyway, still caught up in other duties. But I promis I’ll write as soon as I have the time.

I’m sure everyone knows Jakarta. Duh. It’s the capital city of Indonesia, as well as the biggest.
I don’t have to be able to read minds to know what you’re thinking now.
When I mentioned Jakarta, your minds will be full of tall modern buildings and traffic jams.
Yep, you’re totally right. But that’s not what I’m there for. Although I gotta admit those glamorous malls and fancy stores attracts my interest, another side of Jakarta is what I really wanted to see. And I think I got what I wanted.

The city tour was supported by the newest Jakarta transportation system: busway. Honestly, it’s way better than how I’d expected it to be. It’s very clean, fast, almost jam-free, and also safe. So different from busses we knew. And the best thing: it’s really cheap! Only Rp. 3,500,- per trip, as long as you didn’t get out from the bus-stop. You don’t even have to worry getting lost, because there’s maps available for you.

I went to Kota Tua and visited museums. Museum Bank Mandiri and Museum Wayang to be exact. It’s not as bad as you think, not at all. The old Dutch-style buildings and the old bicycle complete with Dutch hats gives you the feeling as if you’re in the 60′s. It’s your own Hogwarts, Dutch-rified.

For you who isn’t really interested in architecture, I have another sweet spot to please your hearts. Dufan, Ancol.
I’m talking about this in Indonesian standards, so I won’t be comparing this theme park with Disneyland. The long loooooooongggg  queue in every ride has proofen to me that Dufan is still loved, after all these years.

I managed to try Dufan’s newest atraction,  Hysteria. When you’re up there, (exactly 60 metres off the ground) it’s great. But you can’t stay up there too long. The ride went back down and you’re finished! It’s kinda disappointing really. BOO!
I also went to Istana Boneka. Yeah, a bit childish, I know. But it did bring back the child in me. It turns out the song changes though. I was expecting the ‘It’s a small world after all. It’s a small world after all.’ song, but what I get was something I never heard of.

Next and also my last destination: Ice skating at Taman Anggrek! It’s not really in the itinerary, but the minute I saw the ice, I felt the strong urge to just go there and skate.
I remembered the old days, when Tunjungan Plaza still has the ice skating ring. Oh how I missed playing there.
Anyway, it’s also very sad to announce that I have completely LOST my ability to skate. Boohoo!
For the record, I fell down 3 times.
But I managed to skate around without a single touch at the walls! Yay me!

The live in (as I have said before in my previous post) was great, exciting, and totally fun. But sadly, there’s something following behind it. *Sound effect: something from Frankenstein movie*

THE REPORT

here’s the story (with of course, some exaggeration):

Victim: FA and the rest of social class’s brain
Cause of death: severe brain damage
Murder weapon: 100-page report
Suspect: teacher (initial name: GBN, SN, and the crew)

Yeah. Seriously. A 100-page report is going to drain all the energy from your brain you can’t think anymore. It will take all the vocabulary in your head until you can say nomore. It will wreck all your nerve-system in every part of your body. And that, my friend, is the ugly truth.

The only reason why I can still write this post is because I know when to stop before it’s too late. Phew. Thanks God.

1. We met a half man-half woman there. And it (I don’t know whether to call it a he or a she) waved to us.
2. We  ate a lot of salak, and I do mean A LOT. And you k now what, it gave us hard time doing our business in the toilet.
3. When a person from the village says that someplace is close, than it means that the someplace is actually far.
4. The school’s doctor is very dangerous when sleepy. She gave my friend an alcohol instead of oil.
